Abstract
Neurinomas comprise about 8% of all intracranial tumors and of these the acoustic neurinomas are overwhelmingly the most important in frequency; however, those originating from the trigeminal ganglion or nerve root are considered rare. Reviews on trigeminal neurinomas were reported by Loew and Tonnis10, Glaser4 and othersl,3,12,14.
About 98 cases of trigeminal neurinomas are known in the literatures and the most are confined to the middle cranial fossa-arising:from the gasserian ganglion. In slightly fewer cases the tumor occupies the cerebellopontine angle. In a minority it is an hour-glass form involving both situations.
We are reporting two cases of - trigeminal neurinomas arising from the gasserian ganglion and the cerebello-pontine angle.
